Okay, here's a quick update... After making some phone calls and scheduling, we have already filmed two interviews with my Dad, Ron Wilson and his fellow teammate Joe Jordan. Another interview is scheduled on Monday and two more are pending! We're making progress!

Current Status

Here's an update of our current status with Gridiron Glory. Chris and I will be setting up the interviews with the players tomorrow and will be filming the interviews Tuesday through Friday of next week. We also need to interview the head coach of the team and he lives in North Texas, I think around the Dallas/Ft. Worth area so that means we will most likely go to him for his interview. ROAD TRIP!!! :D

Change of Plans

Well, I know I haven't been updating this as much as I should.... this is actually the first post! But for everyone who knows all the background of this project, I wanted to let you know that we are changing the focus of Gridiron Glory. Instead of being a dramatic film that tells the story of the Blanchard High School's 1979 State Championship Game, I and my fellow director Chris Hoggatt have decided to change to a documentary about the game.

Shooting for the movie was supposed to take place during the months of November and December of 2008, but being that it is now 2009 it's obvious that that did not happen. The problem was it was just difficult trying to schedule the amount of people necessary to make this a dramatic film. Weather was bad, football season was over. Chris and I new that we couldn't keep trying to schedule shooting dates with time running out before the movie was due. So, we decided to change the film to a documentary.

Chris and I are still very excited about the project and we think that it will be a great film. We plan on having a round table discussion/ interview with the Blanchard players from 1979 as well as interviews with the coach and townspeople to hear their thoughts on the game.

Anyway, that's the plan! I'll do better to keep this blog updated so you can all keep track of our progress!
